AniMag is an X-Men fan fiction community. Our goal is to provide a forum for fans who are uncomfortable with adult-rated and/or slash content, as well as a place that is friendly toward young readers. If you prefer to read G-to-PG13 rated gen and het, this is the place for you.
As long as the rules below are met, all types of fiction and all X-Men universes are welcome, as is cross-posting in other communities. Even if you post more strongly rated fiction elsewhere, you are invited to share any stories you've written that are appropriate to this community.
All stories will be indexed by author name in the community's Memories.
1.No adult/graphic content. Stories posted here should be rated G to PG-13, about the same level as the content of the X-Men movies.
2.No slash. Any kind of slash pairing, whatever its rating, is unacceptable.
3.No obscene language. A simple rule of thumb is that swear words you wouldn't hear on broadcast television networks should not be posted here.
4.No flames. This is of course a given, but all members are expected to be courteous to each other. Any problems or disagreements should be addressed to the moderator.
xXxXxXxXxX Posting Guidelines XxXxXxXxXx
The following information should be posted at the head of each story:
Title: (story title) Author: (name or username; also include your email address here if desired) Xverse/Spoilers: (movie/comic/series the story is set in; spoiler warnings) Characters: (primary characters featured) Summary: (a short description of the story) Disclaimer: (credit to Marvel, 20th Century Fox, etc.) Notes: (please be brief; longer notes can be included after the story)
The story itself, beyond the first line or paragraph, should be posted under an lj-cut. Alternatively, you can post a link to the story if it is located on another website. In the case of chaptered stories, please indicate which chapter you are posting.
Besides fiction, members may post requests for beta readers and advice; offers of story ideas; and links to other sites, communities, or stories of interest. (Spam will be identified and treated as such.)
Always try to make sure your spelling and grammar are good. Using a spell checking tool is always a good idea. You won't get jumped on by the moderators for bad spelling and grammar, but we can't speak for the other members who will be giving you feedback about your story!
Whether you write fiction yourself or are only a reader, you are strongly encouraged to leave feedback comments for stories.
